Rachel Cantore

Ninja and Gymnastics Coach

Rachel Cantore is owner and founder of Fusion Fit (Stand and Paddle), and a certified personal trainer, nutrition + wellness coach. She have been in the health + fitness industry for over 15 years and did competitive club gymnastics for 15 years, as well as coaching club gymnastics, including competitive team for an additional 12 years.

Rachel believes in living an active, fulfilled, enjoyable lifestyle! This is absolutely possible for everyone and we’re here to show you the way!

Ryan Shaughnessy

Baseball Instructor

Ryan is in his second year as an assistant coach with the Hilton Head Island High School Seahawks varsity baseball team.  He is a native of Pittsford, NY, a graduate of Pittsford Sutherland High School, where he won three sectional championships and earned a NY state final four appearance.  He went on to play 4 years of college baseball as a catcher for St. John Fisher College (Rochester, NY), making two trips to the NCAA tournament.  

He moved to Bluffton, SC with his wife Emily in 2020.  Ryan continues to use the lessons and experiences he received from baseball in his career as a sales professional.  He is passionate about helping baseball players reach their full potential on and off the field, and he is excited to support the Canes baseball organization here in South Carolina.

Joel Klock

Baseball Instructor

Joel Klock is the head baseball coach at Hilton Head Island High School and is entering his 8th year in the program, and 4th year as head coach. Originally from Buffalo, NY, Joel went on to play Division I baseball at Niagara University where he was a 4-year starter as a left-handed pitcher, outfielder, and first baseman. At Niagara, Joel was a 2-time all-conference selection, and currently holds two school records.

Upon moving to Bluffton, SC in the fall of 2014, Joel began coaching middle school and high school athletes in football and baseball. While working with these athletes, Joel began to develop a passion for peak performance. He believes that all athletes can improve both physically, but mentally as well. Joel has a master’s degree in Sport and Performance Psychology and is currently working towards becoming a Certified Mental Performance Consultant through the Association of Applied Sport Psychology.
